For the last 35 years people have often seen a western movie, or any movie with horses in it, and asked themselves this question, “how did they get the horse to do that?” Like any good relationship once you have the trust, communication, respect, and knowledge, you can accomplish almost anything.  Rex is a favorite among Directors, Producers, Actors and American Humane Officers because he delivers the shot required in a timely and safe manner.  Rex is known for saving productions thousands of dollars and hours of work because of his ability to break down the sequence, train and prepare and deliver what is required.  Rex always has over a dozen highly trained horses ready for work and he is known for preparing a completely unbroke horse to be camera ready in only 2 months.  Viggo Mortensen is one Actor who will not take a film including horses without Rex to train the horses because he knows that his safety and well being will be taken care of without question.
